Through a Freedom of Information request, over 3,200 emails from Tony Fauci’s work email account have gone public.

In March 2020, Fauci discredited a model predicting at least 500,000 deaths. By February 2021, Fauci commented about the tragedy of the COVID-19 death toll approaching 500,000.

On February 4, 2020, Fauci discussed how the paper that he based his assertation that COVID-19 asymptomatic transmission was possible failed to include an interview with the patient, thereby discrediting the paper. However, Fauci assured the recipient of the email that he discussed asymptomatic transmission with his Chinese colleague, a very reputable doctor, who confirmed asymptomatic transmission was occurring in Wuhan and Hubei. Meaning that the basis for Fauci claiming asymptomatic transmission was possible was based completely on the word of one Chinese scientist:

Asymptomatic transmission was a central argument to universal masking policies.

Despite COVID-19 originating in Wuhan, Fauci emailed the CDC to ask whether the Wall Street Journal misquoted the agency. The Wall Street Journal article mentioned the CDC discouraged nonessential travel to China:

Fauci agreed to discuss an appearance on CGTN, a Chinese CCP state-owned media outlet:

Fauci stated an the investigation by the USG, led Jeremy Farrar of the Wellcome Trust, would review the potential evolutionary origins of COVID-19, as that field of study was not Fauci’s “area of expertise.” The Wellcome Trust was created by Sir Henry Solomon Wellcome, who started a pharmaceutical company called Burroughs Wellcome & Co. in 1880.

Jeremy emailed Fauci on February 5th, 2020 for recommendations of individuals that would be willing to participate in a WHO group to “look at the origin and evolution of 2019n-CoV.” Fauci’s recommendations included Joseph DeRisi of the Chan Zuckerberg BioHub:
