The hypocrisy of Berlin officials allowing Pride events with tens of thousands of attendees but banning lockdown protests is blatant. It is also ironic considering a massive COVID-19 outbreak among vaccinated individuals in Provincetown, Massachusetts recently occurred in the United States. Provincetown is the gay resort capital of the United States, and more than 450 vaccinated individuals (82% men) contracted COVID-19 following celebratory events in Barnstable County for Independence Day:

Despite the lockdown protest ban, tens of thousands of Germans attended a massive protest in Berlin on August 1, 2021 (more videos available on Rumble and Bitchute). Peaceful, unarmed protesters were met with physical force by police officers, who indiscriminately assaulted an elderly woman by choke slamming her to the ground, and punched a child:
